Not a template. Not a diagnosis. You.
I'm Brittany Griggs, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes the most powerful thing therapy can do is help you understand yourself — deeply, honestly, and without having to shrink to fit a mold. Whether you come to me with a clear problem or just a feeling that something needs to change, I'll meet you exactly where you are.
About Brittany
I didn't become a therapist to run a 45-minute session and send you home with a worksheet. I got into this work because I genuinely believe that when someone feels truly seen — not managed, not diagnosed, not redirected — something real can shift.
My approach draws from multiple frameworks — DBT, CBT, ACT, somatic work — but the through-line in every session is you. What you bring in, what you're carrying, what you're ready to look at. I follow your lead and I don't rush the process.
I work with a range of clients — young adults, professionals, parents of neurodivergent kids, and people who are curious about going deeper than traditional talk therapy allows. What they share in common is a readiness to be honest with themselves. If that's you, we'll probably work well together.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), licensed in California — Texas licensure in progress. M.A. in Clinical Psychology. Trained in DBT, CBT, ACT, and somatic approaches.
Every person holds the capacity to heal. My role is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.
A consistent, judgment-free space where you can bring all of yourself — the messy, the uncertain, and the hopeful. We'll work at your pace, always.

Parenting a Child with ADHD: Your Survival Guide
Areas of Focus
I work with a focused range of clients where I can offer the deepest support. Whether you're figuring out adulthood, navigating a demanding career, or raising a child who sees the world differently — you belong here.
Your twenties and thirties can feel equal parts exciting and overwhelming — especially when you're expected to have it all figured out. Whether you're navigating identity and independence or managing burnout, imposter syndrome, and the weight of constantly performing at your best, I'm here for all of it.
Raising a neurodivergent child is profound, exhausting, and often isolating — especially when you're also navigating your own neurodivergence at the same time. I hold space for all of it: the advocacy fatigue, the grief, the fierce love, and the quiet realization that you might be seeing yourself in your child for the very first time.
I also work with select teenage clients navigating anxiety, identity, and the unique pressures of adolescence — in collaboration with their families.
A Unique Offering
If you've ever read your birth chart and felt genuinely seen — like it captured something about you that you'd never quite been able to put into words — this work was made for you.
This isn't fortune-telling. It's a reflective framework. I integrate birth chart placements, aspects, and patterns into the therapeutic process as a lens for self-understanding — exploring themes that show up in your chart and how they're showing up in your life right now.
It's psychology and self-discovery, woven together. For clients who are curious and open, it can unlock insight that traditional talk therapy alone sometimes can't reach.
Inquire About This WorkAstrology here is a tool for reflection and pattern recognition — not prediction. We use it to understand you more deeply, not to tell you what's coming.
This work is always held within the bounds of ethical, licensed therapy. The astrology informs the lens — evidence-based approaches guide the work.
Mention your interest in astrology-integrated work when you reach out and we'll explore whether it's a good fit for you.
For Parents Who Are Exhausted & Fierce
Raising a neurodivergent child means fighting for them in IEP meetings, researching interventions at midnight, explaining their needs to people who don't get it — and doing all of that while managing your own emotions, your relationship, your career, and everything else life asks of you.
And for many parents, there's another layer: somewhere in the middle of getting your child evaluated, you start to recognize yourself. Maybe you've always felt wired differently. Maybe the diagnosis that explains your kid also quietly explains you. That realization — exciting, disorienting, and sometimes grief-filled all at once — deserves its own space too.
I get it. I hold space for the full picture — the parent who is advocating fiercely for their child while also figuring out who they are in a new light.
Let's TalkYou can say the things you'd never say out loud anywhere else. The hard feelings. The resentment. The grief. All of it is welcome here.
IEPs, 504s, evaluations, advocacy fatigue — I understand the landscape you're navigating and can help you process what it actually costs you.
I also facilitate in-person parent groups for families raising neurodivergent children. A place to connect, share, and feel less alone. Ask me about current availability.
My Approach
I draw from multiple therapeutic frameworks to tailor our work specifically to you. No one-size-fits-all scripts — just honest, collaborative work grounded in what actually helps.
A relaxed 15-minute call to see if we're a good fit — no pressure, no commitment.
We take time to understand your history, what's bringing you in, and what you're hoping to move toward.
Weekly 50-minute sessions, with consistent care and flexibility as your needs evolve.
Real tools and insights you can carry beyond the therapy room — into your everyday life.
Beyond Therapy
Therapy and coaching are distinct — and both have a place depending on where you are and what you need. Coaching is future-focused, action-oriented, and ideal if you're ready to move forward and want a thought partner to help you get there faster.
As your coach, I'm more directive. We set clear goals, build concrete strategies, and I'll challenge you — with warmth — to step into the version of yourself you're working toward.
We identify where you want to go and build a real plan to get there — no detours, no vagueness. Just clear, actionable steps forward.
Professionals, parents, and young adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for a change — but not necessarily in clinical therapy.
Expect honest feedback, assignments between sessions, and a partner who holds you accountable to your own goals.
Which is right for you?
Not sure which fits? We'll figure it out together during your free consult.
Beyond the Office
I'm a wife and mom to two little ones who remind me daily that presence is a practice, not a destination. We also have a pup who has very confidently made himself the center of the household — and honestly, we let him.
Outside of sessions, I'm trying to do the same things I encourage my clients to do — move my body, get outside, slow down, and actually enjoy the life I'm building. That looks like hiking, working out, and spending way too much time experimenting in the kitchen. Cooking from scratch is my version of decompressing.
I share this not because I have it all figured out — I really don't — but because I think it matters that you know I'm in it too. I'm not standing outside of the work pointing the way. I'm someone who is actively trying to live with intention, show up for the people I love, and be honest when that's hard. When you sit across from me, that's who you get.
Wife, mom of two littles, and dog mom. They keep me laughing, humbled, and honest — which is exactly what I need.
Hiking and working out are how I reset. Movement is something I come back to when everything else feels like too much.
Cooking and baking from scratch is my love language and my slowdown. There's something grounding about making something real with your hands for the people you love.
The Experience
You deserve more than a rushed 45-minute slot. Here, every session is thoughtfully held — with real continuity, genuine care, and a therapist who actually knows your story.
Every session is shaped around your goals and your pace — not a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
We go as deep as you need, for as long as it takes. Real change isn't rushed.
You're not a chart number here. You're a whole person — and I show up for you like it.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
— Carl Rogers
FAQ
I accept a limited number of insurance plans. I also work with clients on a self-pay basis. Please reach out during your consultation and we can discuss what works best for you.
Session rates are discussed during our initial consultation, as they vary depending on the type of service (therapy vs. coaching), session frequency, and your individual needs. I believe in transparency — reach out and we'll find an option that works.
Yes! I offer telehealth sessions for clients located anywhere in California. I'm also currently in the process of getting licensed in Texas — if you're based there, reach out and I'll let you know as soon as I'm available to work with Texas clients.
Therapy is a licensed clinical service focused on healing, processing, and mental health support — and may be covered by insurance. Coaching is future-focused, goal-oriented, and more directive in style. It's not covered by insurance, but it's a powerful option for people who are ready to take action and want an accountability partner in their corner.
Every person's journey is different. Some clients find clarity and resolution in a few months; others prefer ongoing support over a longer period. We'll regularly check in on your goals and adjust as you grow — there's no pressure to stay longer than you need, and no pressure to rush.
The first session is all about getting to know you — your story, what's bringing you in, and what you're hoping to work toward. There's no pressure to have it all figured out. We'll go at your pace and figure it out together.
Before You Reach Out
You might be a great fit if any of these feel true for you:
You're a young adult figuring out who you are outside of who everyone expects you to be.
You're high-achieving on the outside but running on empty on the inside.
You're raising a neurodivergent child and you need a space that's entirely yours.
You want more than symptom management — you want to actually understand yourself.
You're open to therapy that goes beyond the traditional — whether that's somatic work, astrology, or just a therapist who keeps it real.
You're ready to do the work — and you want someone genuinely in your corner.
Not sure? That's okay too. Reach out anyway — the consult is free and there's zero pressure.
